Recommendation technology rules
Published: September 7, 2026
These Rules are published in accordance with Article 10.2-2 of Russian Federal Law No. 149-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection” and describe how recommendation technologies are used in Cook My Fridge.
The operator of the recommendation technologies is Individual entrepreneur Alexey Nikolaevich Bystritsky, OGRNIP 320508100228680, INN 500506911869.
1. What the Service recommends
1.1. The Service suggests recipes, the “Ideas for today” selection and dishes that can be cooked from the products the User has.
1.2. Recommendations are generated automatically, without a human reviewing each individual case.
2. What information is used
2.1. Recommendations are based on:
- the list of products the User added to the app, including those recognised from photos;
- the eating mode selected by the User and any excluded products;
- the User’s text and voice requests;
- the time of day and the date;
- the User’s actions in the app: which recipes were opened and saved.
2.2. Recommendations are not based on health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, location data, or the content of the User’s communications outside the Service.
3. How it works
3.1. The app matches the User’s product list against recipe ingredients and suggests recipes that can be cooked in full or almost in full.
3.2. Some recipes are prepared by the Service’s editors; others are generated by artificial intelligence models at the User’s request. Data sharing is described at https://cookmyfridge.app/en/ai.
3.3. Recommendations are for reference and may be inaccurate: product recognition from photos and calorie calculation are automatic.
4. How to influence recommendations
- change the product list: add, remove or temporarily exclude a product;
- choose an eating mode and list excluded products in the selection settings;
- phrase a request by text or by voice;
- not use the recommendation features — the rest of the app keeps working.
5. Enquiries
5.1. Questions about recommendation technologies should be sent to alexey.bystritsky@gmail.com.
5.2. Enquiries are answered within 30 calendar days.
